Community Beacon app for iPhone and iPad

In response to these times when people around the world are isolating and staying at home more than ever we need a way to connect with those in need in our local communities.

Community Beacon is designed to be simple and easy to use, especially for the more vulnerable members of our communities.

FOR VOLUNTEERS AND CARERS
It takes less than a minute to sign up and start helping. Register on the app with your mobile number and a selfie (for security purposes). Select the things you can help with. This could be fetching shopping, having a chat on the phone, collecting a prescription, popping out to the post office etc.

You will receive notifications of needs in your area that you can help with. Simply tap to help and make contact over the phone.

FOR PEOPLE THAT NEED HELP
If you, or someone you know, is in isolation, either because you have symptoms or are one of the vulnerable who are self isolating, then Community Beacon can put you in touch with support in the local community.

Simply sign up with your mobile number and in a few simple steps you can post one or more requests for help to the local community.

Very basic information including what you need, your approximate location and a means to get in touch will be displayed in the app for local volunteers and carers to respond to.
